• Avoid chewing on the treated tooth for a few days.
• Take prescribed pain medication as directed.
• If swelling occurs, apply a cold compress.
• Contact your dentist if pain or swelling persists.

• Avoid biting or chewing on the new restoration for a few days.
• Maintain good oral hygiene, brushing and flossing regularly.
• If the restoration feels loose or uncomfortable, contact your dentist.

Bonding

• Avoid hot or cold foods and drinks for a few days.
• Do not bite on hard objects.
• Maintain good oral hygiene, brushing and flossing regularly.

Scaling and Root Planing

• Rinse your mouth with warm salt water several times a day.
• Avoid smoking or using tobacco products.
• If swelling or discomfort persists, contact your dentist.

Veneers

• Avoid biting on hard objects for a few days.
• Maintain good oral hygiene, brushing and flossing regularly.
• If the veneers feel loose or uncomfortable, contact your dentist.

Extractions

• Bite down on a gauze pad for a few hours to control bleeding.
• Avoid strenuous activity for a few days.
• Take prescribed pain medication as directed.
• If bleeding persists or there is significant swelling, contact your dentist.
